由文化部影視及流行音樂產業局主辦的「第二十六屆流行音樂金曲獎頒獎典禮」，訂六月廿七日晚七時於台北市小巨蛋盛大登場，文化部長洪孟啟將出席及頒發特別貢獻獎予得獎人江蕙、資深作曲家陳揚，頒獎典禮承製單位台視今年也力邀第二十五屆金曲獎歌王林俊傑及歌后戴佩妮，分別擔任本屆金曲獎「最佳男歌手獎」、「最佳女歌手獎」頒獎人。
本屆金曲獎頒獎典禮現場轉播單位台視於廿七日下午五時起，將以HDlive轉播星光大道及晚間七時登場的頒獎典禮，台視綜合台也將併頻live播出，此外，中華電信MOD、中華影視、Hami電視也將同步live播出；而在海外部分，包括新加坡StarHub、馬來西亞Astro，以及中國大陸最大網路平台騰訊視頻，也將與台灣同步live播出。另外，香港TVB、鳳凰衛視、日本VIKI視頻網站也將在近期播出，估計全球將有二三一個國家及地區、數億人口將觀看這場台灣流行音樂年度盛會。
